1. Zip fastener with coupling member rows formed of one continuous plastic strand each, in which - the plastic strand is folded into an S-shaped meandering profile, - the meandering profile on both sides of its longitudinal centre axis is connected to strip-like flat-shaped structures, and - for forming the coupling members the meandering profile is folded about its longitudinal centre axis in such a way that the strip-like flat-shaped structures are superimposed on top of each other with their leading edges being aligned, characterised in - that the strip-like flat-shaped structures are strips of knitted textile fabrics (2, 2a), - that the strips of knitted textile fabrics (2, 2a) form carrying tapes, - that the strips of knitted textile fabrics (2, 2a) each have two edge wales tightly adjacent to each other, whose distance from each other is smaller than that of the other wales in the knitting, and - that the meandering profile is inserted in weft-like manner in the loops of the edge wales of the strips of the knitted textile fabrics (2, 2a). |
