PURPOSE:To give off a timely greeting call in accordance with a time zone by a method wherein a plurality of voice data are stored beforehand and voice data corresponding to the time zone based on time counting of a clock means are selected at the time of operation of a switch means and informed in a voice. CONSTITUTION:When a touch sensor 2 provided on a mascot doll or the like is touched, a touch signal is outputted to a control means 5. Receiving the time of touching from a clock means 5 as an input, the means 6 judges to which time zone said time belongs, a first time zone, a second time zone or a third time zone. When the time of touching is within the first time zone in the morning, for instance, voice data corresponding to 'Good morning' which are stored in a memory are read out, while a first melody corresponding to the second time zone is read out of melody IC8, and 'Good morning' converted into a voice by a voice synthesizer 9 and the first melody are outputted from a speaker 11 through an amplifier 10. In this way, a timely greeting call can be given off in accordance with the time zone.
