PURPOSE:To easily prepare the title flowmeter by bringing the same to a simple constitution reduced in the number of parts, by forming the flowmeter with a molded transparent plastic part. CONSTITUTION:When a molded transparent plastic flowmeter main body is mounted to a main pipe 1 by a mount plate, the primary side passage of an orifice 2 is connected to an introducing pipe 4 and a fluid set to a definite flow rate by the orifice 2 and having the pressure corresponding to the flow rate flows in main pipe 1 through the orifice 14 of a closure element 15 equipped with the orifice 14, of which the revolving position is freely adjusted through a taper pipe 8 and a screw 17, a passing hole 9, a return pipe 11 and a drain pipe 10. The stop position of a float 13 changes corresponding to the differential pressure, which corresponds to the flow rate of the fluid at that time, to measure the flow rate of the fluid. The stop of measurement is also performed by the closure element 15 in combination without opening and closing valve. By this simple structure reduced in the number of parts, a differential pressure type area flowmeter is easily formed.
