PURPOSE:To produce a catalyst having excellent heat resistance by using a heat resistant compsn. essentially consisting of Al2O3 and metal oxide of Ba, etc., as a carrier and depositing catalyst components thereon. CONSTITUTION:This heat resistant catalyst is constituted by using the heat resistant compsn. essentially consisting of Al2O3 and the metal oxide expressed by MeO as the carrier and depositing the catalyst components thereon. The carrier contains the metal oxide MeO in an about 3-25mol range per 100mol Al2O3 where Me is at least one kind of the metal selected from the group consisting of Ba, Ca and Sr. Part or the whole of Al2O3 and MeO in the heat resistant catalyst is the resulted product of decomposition of the composite or mixed alkoxide of Al and the metal expressed by Me. The above-mentioned catalyst components are mainly the metals expressed by Cm and/or the oxides of Cm where Cm is selected from V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ag, Cd, La, Ce, Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, etc. |
