PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of oil cleaning and to facilitate the liquid level control of an oil tank so that always stable oil cleaning can be executed by applying an electrostatic oil cleaning method to the return oil in a force-feed state to be fed back to the oil tank in a hydraulic circuit system. CONSTITUTION:This method is for cleaning the working fluid for a hydraulic apparatus to be cyclically used so as to be supplied by a hydraulic pump from the oil tank 1 to the hydraulic circuit system and is returned to the oil tank 1. the return oil to be fed back to the oil tank 1 in the above-mentioned method is introduced into an electrostatic oil cleaning device 5 constituted by disposing a dust collecting body between cathode and anode electrodes facing each other from the lower part of the machine and is thereby electrostatically cleaned. The electrostatically cleaned working fluid is returned from the upper part of the machine 5 into the oil tank 1. As a result, the cost of the oil cleaning is reduced. No trouble occur in the liquid level control of the oil tank. Always stable oil cleaning is possible if a measure to relieve the flow is adopted at the time of introducing the return oil from a relief valve to the electrostatic oil cleaning machine.
