PURPOSE:To achieve effective change of turret heads by turning a swing arm with a new turret head attached to each of head clamping mechanisms of a pair of head support arms, and then turning the arms through actuation of a motor after heads installed on the machine are held by other clamping mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:Turret heads to be changed are attached to head clamping mechanism 152a, 152c, respectively. Then, machining devices 14, 16 are actuated to have heads 54, 54a held in engagement with clamping mechanisms 152b, 152d, respectively, and first and second head support arms 136, 140 are rotated through an angle of substantially 180 deg. around a support pin 126 and stopped at a predetermined position. Then, the head support arms 136, 140 are turned through a motor 96, a worm gear 122 and a worm wheel 124. Then turret heads to be changed are placed between the machining devices 14, 16 and held by head holders 52, 52a, and thus change of turret heads can be effectively performed by a single device.
