PURPOSE:To save labor for confirming transmission by adding an invoice generating section and sending a prescribed invoice after sending a picture of a document. CONSTITUTION:A channel connection section 2 receives a call signal and a destination number code from an operation section 1 to drive a transmission section 3 thereby setting the connection of a channel 30. A picture signal sending section 4 converts a document pattern read by a document read section 5 into a picture signal and sends it to a channel 30 via the transmission section 3. In receiving a read end signal of the final document from a document read section, the picture signal sending section 4 drives an invoice generating section 6 to send the generated invoice to a channel 30 via the transmission section 3 in terms of a picture signal. The invoice is formed by inserting the information collected from an operation section 1, a channel connection section 2 and the picture signal sending section 4 or the like to a preset character synthesis document and has columns of date, address, sender, number of sheets to be sent, and a message.
