CONSTITUTION:The slurry streamed into a strainer 2 from a slurry influent pipe 10 is filtered, and the filtrate is streamed into the filtrate effluent pipe 20 through a filtrate chamber 5 and discharged from a discharge pipe 25 through a filtrate tank 24 after filling up the back washing cylinder 21 on the way. In the case of the back washing, the filtrate effluent pipe 20 is closed and a back washing piston 22 in the back washing cylinder 21 is moved upward and the filtrate in the cylinder 21 is sent into the body 1 as a back washing liquid to perform back washing, and the back washing liquid is discharged through the by-pass valve 15 of a return pipe 14. When the inside of the strainer 2 is to be cleaned, the cover 8 of the strainer 2 is opened, and a cleaning piston 4 is moved upward, and then the sludge cleaning device consisting of a sludge removing blade 29, etc., is activated to remove the sludge on the piston 4.
