PURPOSE:To obtain a good optical design effect by using the bent parts and/or cut end faces of condensing fibers as light emitting parts. CONSTITUTION:The cloth which is made of condensing fibers and has the optical design effect is constituted of the bent parts 1 which exhibit a luminescent characteristic, the cut end faces 2 which exhibit the luminescent characteristic and parts 3 which absorb light from the outside. The fluorescence radiated randomly from a fluorescent dye absorbed with projected light partly pass the inside of the transparent fibers and radiated to emit light to the outside from the upper bent parts by the rule of total reflection. the fluorescence radiated randomly from the fluorescent dye absorbed with incident light E at the cut end of the condensing fibers is reflected by the rule of the total reflection and part of the projected light pass the inside of the transparent fibers like e1-e5 and emit light at the cut end faces. The change in the surface of the cloth and the change in the degree of light emission obtd. by such combination of the cut end faces and bent parts of the condensing fibers can express the diversified and desirable optical design effect.
