PURPOSE:To strongly fix a fibrous tension member on the outer peripheral surface of the terminal part of a ferrule pushing part with ease by providing the ferrule pushing member threadably to the terminal opening part of a hous ing, and covering the terminal part of the ferrule pushing member with a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A rubber cap 17, the sleeve 16, the ferrule pushing member 13, and a spring 7 are fitted in order onto an optical fiber cord A previously, a ferrule 8 is fitted to the terminal part of the optical fiber cord A, and the spring 7 which is fitted previously is drawn back onto the ferrule 8, which is fitted in the housing 1. The ferrule pushing member 13 is provided threadably to the terminal opening part of the housing 1, and the fibrous tension member B of the optical fiber cord A is arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the terminal part of the ferrule pushing member 13 and covered with the sleeve 16, which is clamped by using a clamper. Consequently, fibrous tension member B is clamped and fixed securely and strongly between the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve and the outer peripheral surface of the terminal part of the ferrule pushing member.
