PURPOSE:To provide a lubricant oil of decreased coefficient of friction on mechanically frictional surface leading to enhanced engine fuel economy, comprising ferroelectric ceramic fine powder and electret material fine powder or liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The objective lubricant oil comprising (A) ferroelectric ceramic fine powder such as of barium titanate with a size ca. <=1mu and (B) electret material fine powder such as of fluororesin with a size ca. <=1mu, or (C) e.g., several wt% of a liquid crystal (e.g., of smectic type). |
