PURPOSE:To perform a stable humidification all the time by installing a driven roller in a floating manner that is anchored by a spring which tensions the driven roller away from a drive roller. CONSTITUTION:An endless belt-like filter 6 is fitted between a driven roller 3 and a drive roller 4, and is caused to rotate by the rotation of a drive roller motor 5. A spring 7 is attached to both ends of the driven roller 3 to tension the same away from the drive roller 4. The other end of the spring 7 is attached to the water tank 1. The air taken in from inlets 10 is humidified as it passes the filter 6, and is discharged out of an outlet 11. Since the filter is always tensioned by the spring force of the spring 7, the filter 6 will not slip, permitting a stable humidification by a smooth rotation.
