PURPOSE:To avoid magnetic coupling between a high frequency probe for NMR and another high frequency probe used together with said high frequency probe by constituting a non-projecting part of a device with one or more pairs of conductive segments and inserting a PIN diode to at least one pair of conductive segment. CONSTITUTION:The non-projecting part of this high frequency probe for NMR consists of one or more pairs of conductive elements 11c and 11d, and a PIN diode 12 is inserted to at least one pair of conductive segment. The diode 12 is controlled to be turned on or off to avoid magnetic coupling to another high frequency probe. That is, the high frequency probe for NMR is used for transmission and another probe is used for reception and the diode 12 of the high frequency probe for NMR is turned on only at the time of transmission, and as the result, the degradation in sensitivity of the probe for reception during reception is avoided. The diode 12 is turned on only at the time of reception if the high frequency probe for NMR is used for reception, thereby preventing the transmission magnetic field from being disturbed at the time of transmission.
