PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer material free of possibility of sticking, by providing a heat-resistant protective layer comprising a perfluoroalkyl- containing resin as an essential constituent. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer material comprises a heat-resistant protective layer comprising at least 10wt% of a perfluoroalkyl-containing resin, on the back side of a base plastic film. The perfluoroalkyl-containing resin is a resinous material having a group obtained by substituting hydrogen atoms constituting an alkyl group by fluorine atoms. The amount of the perfluoroalkyl-containing resin contained in the protective layer is at least 10wt%, preferably, at least 30wt%, more preferably, 50-100wt%. If the amount of the resin in the protective layer is less than 10wt%, a sticking-improving effect is insufficient. |
