PURPOSE:To contribute to save energy and to prevent pollution in an environment, by utilizing the potential energy of exhaust gas by branching off switchably a vent pipe from a fan to a pipe to discharge exhaust gas to the atmosphere and to a pipe to feed the gas into a furnace, and by controlling the vent pipe by a unit output signal. CONSTITUTION:A vent valve A30 and a vent valve B30' are provided respectively to a vent pipe 14 and a vent pipe 14' which are branched off in the downstream of an exhaust gas fan 13. When a unit output signal is below a specified value, the vent valve A30 is opened, while the vent valve B30' is closed. In this mode, the exhaust gas is discharged to the atmosphere. When the unit output signal is higher than the specified value, the vent valve A30 is closed and the vent valve B30' is opened. In this mode, thermal energy and a combustible content in the exhaust gas in the vent pipe can be utilized at the maximum. At this time the nozzle of a bent burner 15 blows gas into a furnace toward the center of a secondary combustion port 31, horizontally, or within the range of 30 deg. upwards or downwards, so that the combustion of pulverized coal flames on pulverized coal burners 6 which are positioned horizontally, and especially combustion of flames right under the bent burner are prevented from burning incompletely. |
