PURPOSE:To allow one inquiry operation to cover all inquiries by handling the inquiries with top priority first when inquires are made from a slave register to a host computer through a master register in a sales point information control system. CONSTITUTION:When inquiry request telegrams are sent from a terminal equipment 1 to a controller 2, a prioritizing means 27 identifies the types of the inquiry request telegrams and prioritizes them. They are stored in a storage means 28. When a detection means 29 detects the release of communications with the host device 3, the inquiry request telegrams with top priority first are read out of the storage means 28,and transmitted to the host device.
