PURPOSE:To permit waves to be broken at low construction cost as well as to make the setting and removal of a breakwater structure easier by a method in which flexible parts are fixed to strut rows in such a way as not to make the flexible parts group move following the waves. CONSTITUTION:Sheeted flexible parts 1 of rubber, fiber, synthetic resin, etc., are connected with one ends of springs to both ends of an L-shaped steel part to ease the impact of waves. The other ends of the spring of the L-shaped buffer device 2 is connected to the rope 5 formed by cutting off the corners of the flexible parts 1 to connect them in a banded form. The band groups 11 arranged with apertures are connected to the rows of highly-rigid struts 4 by I-shaped buffer devices 3 formed by connecting the springs by connectors. They are horizontally fixed in water to suppress tidal waves.
