PURPOSE:To realize a small-sized, lightweight printer reduced in power consumption and handy to carry, by allowing a printing means to take printing operation by the cooperation of the first, second and third drive means and applying printing to the booklet-like medium inserted in and located to a medium guide. CONSTITUTION:An operator inserts a passbook 34, wherein the page to be printed thereof is opened, in a medium guide 5 from the front surface thereof and allows the position to be printed of said page to coincide with positioning marks 7am 7b. Hereupon, pressure rollers 24a, 24b are pushed up and the passbook 34 is held between feed rollers 20a, 20b to complate setting. A printing pen 8 moves in an X-direction, that is, in a character length direction in integral relation to a support 10 and a holder 9, and the support 10, the holder 9 and the printing pen 8 move in a Y-direction, that is, in a line direction along with a carriage and, with the movement of all of them in both X- and Y-directions, the printing pen 8 further moves up and down to print transaction data on the passbook 34 by drawing. When the printing of one line is finished, the feed rollers 20a, 20b rotate and the passbook 34 is fed by definite quantith to perform line feed. |
