CONSTITUTION:One sides of projection rods 7 of quartz glass are held by a member 8. Between cathode height regulating members 91 and 92, a cathode 1 is extended and hanged by the rods 7 projecting forward more at the center. And a rear side electrode 4 and an electron pickup electrode 5 are also projected forward along the projection of the cathode 1. Therefore, the interval between the cathode and the electron pickup electrode is made even, the electron pickup amount in the longitudinal direction of the cathode is also made even, and moreover, the unnecessary vibration is not produced.
