PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of development efficiency by incorporating silica particles in a surface layer. CONSTITUTION:The silica (SiO2) particles are incorporated in the surface layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body provided with a carrier generating layer 3, a carrier transfer layer 4, and the surface layer 5 on a transparent substrate 2 formed on a base plate 1. Light transmitted the layer 3 passes through the layer 4, and it is reflected with the surface layer 5 containing the silica particles, arrives at the layer 3 past the layer 4, and again contributes to generation of electric charge when passing through the layer 3 to the substrate 2, and the exposure light can be effectively used. It is preferred that the surface layer 5 containing the silica particles has high resistivity, and a film thickness smaller than that of the layer 3, thus permitting development efficiency to be enhanced as the electrophotographic sensitive body to be used as the simultaneous method, and an image with in contrast to be obtained. |
