PURPOSE:To enhance dispersibility, photosensitivity, and light resistance by dispersing an electric charge generating material into a binder resin in the presence of a basic resin. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating material belonging to organic acids is dispersed into the binder resin of the organic electrophotographic sensitive body in the presence of the basic resin. Since said material electrostatically acts mutually with the basic resin, it can be stably dispersed into the binder resin. The interface between the charge generating material and the binder resin is considered the site of charge separation of excitons generated in the charge generating material, and disproportionation of the interlayer due to photochemical reaction is considered one of the causes of deterioration in the performance of the organic photosensitive body, thus permitting adhesion with the binder resin to be increased and deterioration of the performances to be restrained by enhancing the dispersibility of the charge generating material. |
