PURPOSE:To be able to shorten full-brake time by accelerating the attenuation of the remaining voltage of an induction motor by applying a resistor. CONSTITUTION:A voltage across the terminals of an induction motor 1 is detected by a voltage detector 9. When a voltage detected by the detector 9 is a predetermined set voltage or higher, a contactor controller 11 for a resistor operates contactors 7, 8 for the resistor is operated to connect resistors 5, 6 between the terminals of the motor 1. When a voltage detected by the detector 9 is a voltage or lower corresponding to a DC power source voltage, a contactor controller 10 for a DC power source operates contactors 3, 4 for a DC power source to connect a DC power source 2 between the terminals of the motor 1.
