PURPOSE:To efficiently and accurately transmit data, by transmitting all of the picture data, detecting a frame in which an error is generated, resending the frame in which the error is generated, and repeating such resending sequence. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a transmitter is set at a transmission mode and a receiver is set at a reception mode, and all of the picture data are transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver. A reception side investigates a check code, and detects the frame in which the error is generated, then, stores it. Secondly, the transmitter is set at the reception mode, and the receiver is set at the transmission mode, and the number of the frame in which the error is generated stored in the receiver is transmitted from the receiver to a transmitter side. Thirdly, the transmitter is set at the transmission mode, and the receiver is set at the reception mode, and the frame in which the error is generated is resent from the transmitter to the receiver. The receiver detects the error again from the frame sent from the transmitter. And next, a second and a third sequence are repeated. Lastly, a signal without an error frame is sent from the receiver, then, the transmission of the picture data is completed. In this way, it is possible to perform the transmission of the picture in a short time.
