PURPOSE:To effectively regulate the load, by performing load regulation through regulation of the flow rate of fuel onto a gas turbine by means of a flow regulating valve and simultaneously regulating the coal charge onto a gasifier oven while detecting the variation of the pressure in the gasifier oven. CONSTITUTION:When a load set 1 is given, it is compared with the currently generated power amt. of a generator 2. To correct any deviation, a signal 12 is conveyed to a fuel flow rate regulating valve 9, thereby regulating the opening of the valve. This increases or decreases the coal gas flow rate into a gas turbine combustor 4, and a load setting is performed. On the other hand, since the initial pressures in a coal gasifier oven and a coal gas purifier 3 vary with time by regulating the coal gas flow rate into the gas turbine combustor 4, the pressure variation rate against time is detected and on the basis of the pressure variation rate, the coal charge amt. into the coal gasifier oven 3 is controlled, thereby regulating the loads in the coal gasifier oven and coal gas purifier 3.
