THERMAL PRINTER WITH GRADATION

摘要

PURPOSE:To recognize the combination of an ink sheet and receiving paper imparting gamma-correction data at a glance, by connecting various ROM cartridges each storing the non-linear correction data of the recording density to energy to be applied to perform medium contrast recording. CONSTITUTION:The address bus and data bus of a ROM are connected to a counter 34 and the first input/output port 35 by a connector 18 and a counting start signal is applied from the port 35 and the output of the counter 34 is given to a ROM as an address and gamma-correction data outputted is inputted to the port 35 to be once stored in a RAM 33. An address is given to a RAM 33 corresponding to printing image input data and the gamma-correction data outputted is successively stored in a line memory 37 and a thermal head 2 is driven on the basis of said data. A CPU 32 reads the code showing the type of the gamma-correction data in the ROM once stored in the RAM 33 to inform the good combination of an ink sheet and receiving paper used in printing to a display part through the second input/output port 36.
