PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the installation space of the device to a minimum, by furnishing a driving system to be able to convert the advancing direction of a flexible conveyer sheet which loads and carrys a draft, and turning back near an exhaust tray and winding up the flexible conveyer sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet draft is read, an electromagnetic clutch is ON to connect a winding roller 12 to a motor, and a flexible conveyer sheet 10 is wound up through a top roller 11 of a sheet exhaust tray 9 to the position where its light shield mark 13a is detected by a sensor 13, to position a handle 10a on the winding roller 12 which is lower one step. As a result, the draft on a draft table 2 is read while passing through a conveying route 3, and delivered on the sheet exhaust tray 9. On the other hand, in case of a stereographic draft, a guide unit 19 is opened upward, the electromagnetic clutch is OFF, the flexible sheet 10 is drawn out from the winding roller 12, the handle 10a is set at the end of the draft table 2, and, after the stereographic draft is held, the electromagnetic clutch is ON, and the draft is read while the conveyer sheet 10 is wound up. The space can be saved in such a way.
