PURPOSE:To arbitrarily set the output of a transmitter/receiver and to improve a phased array antenna characteristics, by operating a power synthesis circuit which synthesizes the outputs of high output amplifier as an unequal distributor in which a transmission line and a 90 deg. 3dB power synthesis circuit are combined. CONSTITUTION:A transmission signal from a first input/output terminal 1a is inputted to a power distributor 7 via a shifter 2 and a first transmission/ reception switcher 3a, and is distributed to electric power having equal amplitudes, and they are sent to the high output amplifiers 8a and 8b respectively. Next, the output of the amplifier 8a is inputted to a power synthesizer 10 via the transmission line 9, and that of the amplifier 8b to the synthesizer 10 directly, respectively, and obtained output power are sent to a transmission/ reception switcher 3c. At this time, if a device is constituted with the 3dB distributor 7 having an output phase difference of 90 deg. and the synthesizer 10, the power appearing in output terminals 11a and 11b in the synthesizer 10 assuming a power gain of the amplifier 8a and 8b as Ae<-j0>, and the electric length of the line 9 as phi, go to P11a=¦A¦<2>.(1-cosphi/2) and P11b=¦A¦<2>.(1+cosphi/2) respectively, then, arbitrary outputs can be obtained.
