PURPOSE:To hold a function to record and reproduce a voice signal on a telephone set, by providing a memory, a voice code decoder, and a switch which switches a usual state and a reproducing state on the handset of the telephone set, and exchanging the handset of a general telephone set. CONSTITUTION:At the time of usual use, the switch 16 is pulled down to a usual use side, and the handset is operated as a general handset. Next. at the time of sound recording, though the switch 16 is permitted to be pulled down to either side, a voice signal inputted from the transmitter 12 is decoded to an analog signal at the voice code decoder 14, and is outputted from a receiver 1. Furthermore, at the time of reproduction, the switch 16 is pulled down to a reproduction side, and a digital signal stored in the memory 15 is decoded to the analog signal at the decoder 14, and is outputted from the receiver 11. In other words, by providing the memory 15, the decoder 14 which stores the voice signal in the memory 15 after encoding, and outputs it to the receiver 11 after decoding, and the switch 16 which switches the usual use state and the reproducing state on the handset of the telephone set, it is possible to decode the voice signal to the analog signal by the decoder 14 only by exchanging the handset.
