<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly complete an unnecessary part at the either time of recording and reproducing a video signal and an audio signal by travelling a magnetic tape at high speed until the index signal of a first frequency is detected when the index signal of a second frequency is detected at the time of ordinary reproducing. CONSTITUTION:A position detection circuit 27 for detecting the position of a margin part, an index signal generating circuit 23 for generating the index signal of a prescribed frequency recorded in the margin part (c), a first switch for switching the index signal to the first and the second frequencies, a first index signal detection circuit 24 for detecting the index signal of the first frequency, a second index signal detection circuit for detecting the index signal of the second frequency, a second switch for substantially allowing the detection operation of the index signal of the second frequency and a control means 19 for travelling the magnetic tape at high speed until the index signal of the first frequency is detected when the index signal of the second frequency is detected at the time of the ordinary reproduction are provided. Thereby, a skip operation can be easily and automatically executed.</p> |
