PURPOSE:To enhance the quality of a color image by making it possible to record the color image always under constant condition, by recording the image on the basis of the data which is obtained by correcting the data converted by a printing lookup table on the basis of the correction quantity stored in a correction table. CONSTITUTION:After the initial setting of correction data is completed, the recording of an image is started. An interface 31 sends out a selection signal TS to a correction table 32 and the image signals PS of selected sources 11-14 are inputted to a printing lookup table 33. The conversion of data is performed in the table 33 and printing data PD are inputted to a correction circuit 34. In the correction circuit 34, the correction signal CR selected and outputted from the correction table 32 corresponding to a selection signal TS is used to convert not only offset alpha to alphaR but also a gain (g) to gR, for example, with respect to an R-color to correct the data PD to printing data PDA. A G-color and a B-color are also corrected in the same way. This corrected image signal PDA is inputted to a printing part 35 to perform the recording of a color image according to a predetermined system. |
