PURPOSE:To supply a stable voltage to a load by controlling the conduction angle of a chopper switching element by a chopper output voltage against a power source voltage variation and by an output voltage against a load variation. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary power source for a vehicle is composed of a DC high speed breaker 2, an input DC reactor 3, an input filter capacitor 4, a chopper switching element 5, a flywheel diode 6, a chopper output filter capacitor 8 and a DC reactor 7 to energize a low voltage load 10. A control circuit is composed of voltage detectors 10-11, output voltage control circuit 15, a chopper control circuit 16, and a gate pulse generator 17. Thus, when the load 10 is varied, the voltage of the capacitor 8 is detected by the detector 11, the difference from a reference voltage 13 is input to the control circuit 15. When a DC power source 1 is varied, a voltage across the diode 6 is detected by the detector 12, a difference from a reference voltage 14 is input to the control circuit 16 to control the conduction rate of the diode 6.
