PURPOSE:To make it possible to take a wide and comfortable seat area even in a narrow space in the rear of the driver's seat in an automobile, by inclining the right and/or left side seat section of the rear seat inward with respect to the center seat section. CONSTITUTION:The rear seat 8 in a vehicle 1 is composed of a right side seat section 9, a center seat section 10 and a left side seat section 11, and the right and/or left side seat sections 10 having short distances from the driver's and codriver's seats, respectively, is inclined inward with respect to the center seat section 10. with this arrangement, the passengers sitting on the seating areas 14, 15 of the right and left seat sections 9, 11 may extend their legs toward the space between the driver's and codriver's seats 6, 7 while they lean on the seat back parts 12, 13, thereby they sit comfortably with the use of wide spaces 16.
