PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturization in a servo valve, by making such force that is pressed toward the axis of a rack shaft, work on a pinion shaft at a time when large steering torque occurs, and making a ring rotate by this force. CONSTITUTION:If a wheel handle is operated in the state that resistance out of a tire is large enough, such force as making a pinion shaft 12 so as to be moved in the axial direction of a rack 20 acts on this rack 20. In consequence, a clearance between a ring 23 in a direction, where the pinion shaft 12 is pressed, and an outer race 22b of a first bearing 22 is brought to nothing, whereby this ring 23 is forcibly pressed to a gear housing 10 via a bearing 24, making the ring 23 into drag rotation. With rotation of the ring 23, a spool 33 is operated via a lever 30, so that a power cylinder is operated.
