PURPOSE:To write information on an optical disk nearly in an ideal state by projecting a write laser beam while projecting a preheating laser beam in a peripheral area of irradiation heating including an irradiation heated part. CONSTITUTION:While the part which is heated by being irradiated with the write laser beam is moved relatively by the rotation of the optical disk, the write laser beam is projected intermittently on the optical disk to write information on the optical disk. At this time, the peripheral area of irradiation heating including the irradiation heated part is irradiated with the preheating laser beam and preheated to approximate to fusion temperature previously, and the information is written on the optical disk in said state, thereby performing the information on the optical disk in a state which is as close to the ideal state as possible.
