PURPOSE:To make the accumulation of sheets on a stacker proper by providing a stacker moving mode setting means for varying the moving mode of a stacker based on each mode selected by a mode selecting means and a driving means for driving said stacker with a defined moving mode based on the signal of said setting means. CONSTITUTION:When sheets P from an image forming device is carried out and accumulated in order onto a stacker 5a, as a defined mode for a folding device 1 is selected, a defined moving mode for the stacker is set in accordance with the selected mode. And, the stacker 5a is moved in accordance with the moving mode and, e.g., placed on a defined initial position. Also, the sheets P are carried out being folded into a defined form or without being folded in accordance with the selected mode. Thereupon, e.g., the stacker 5a is lowered by degrees at a defined lowering quantity in accordance with the defined moving mode as the sheets P are carried out, enabling the sheets P to be accumulated on the stacker 5a in order without being hindered by formerly loaded sheets. |
