PURPOSE:To shorten the manufacturing time, and to improve the finish accuracy and reliability in the manufacturing method of ink jet recording head including a process for irradiating a machining object arranged in liquid with a laser beam and cutting said object through thermal fusion. CONSTITUTION:Transmitted laser beam 2 is focused through a lens 5 so as to irradiate a machining object, i.e. an ink jet recording head 6 placed in the water, coolant, of a water tank 7. Consequently, the surface thereof is thermally fused to proceed cutting. Fused slag is cooled quickly in the way of dispersion and solidified. Solidified slag does not adhere, and when jet water flow is ejected through a jet water flow ejection nozzle 8 or supersonic vibration is applied by means of a supersonic oscillator 10, slag adhered lightly under semi-solidified condition can be removed easily and a better cutting face can be obtained. |
