PURPOSE:To increase the stability of an oscillator, miniaturize and reduce the price by executing alternately the action to stabilize the oscillating frequency of a voltage control crystal oscillator based on the output of a light detecting device and the action to stabilize the oscillating wavelength of the laser for excitation. CONSTITUTION:A resonance output, in short, the output of a light detecting device 4 depends on both of the oscillating frequency of VCXO 9 and the oscillating waveform of a laser 2 and to control simultaneously both is not very easily. Consequently, while a VCXO control circuit 8 is operated, a laser control circuit 11 is kept at the output value immediately before it. On the other hand, while the laser control circuit 11 is operated, the VCXO control circuit 8 is kept at the output value immediately before it. Thus, by the output of a detecting circuit 7, the VCXO control circuit 3 and the laser control circuit 11 are operated by the time division, the control of the VCXO 9 and the laser 2 for excitation is alternately executed and the stable oscillating action can be kept.
