PURPOSE:To make a partition plate in a manifold unnecessary by making the passage cross section area for a unit electrode reaction area of the space of the second reaction gas of the second electrode facing the upstream region of the first reaction gas in a cell face larger that at the downstream region. CONSTITUTION:The passage cross section area for a unit electrode reaction area of the space of the second reaction gas 2 of the second electrode 6 facing the upstream region of the first reaction gas 1 in a cell face is made larger than the passage cross section area for a unit electrode reaction area of the space of the second reaction gas 2 of the second electrode 6 facing the downstream region of the first reaction gas 1 in the cell face. Accordingly, a large quantity of the second reaction gas 2 of the second electrode 6 facing the upstream region of the first reaction gas 1 can be fed, and a fuel cell preventing the reaction gas from lacking in part of the fuel cell without providing a partition plate can be obtained. |
