PURPOSE:To make it possible to conductor automatic operation by an operation control which is on the same level as that by a skilled operator by giving operation data at present to a reasoning section through a control device from each detection device, and carrying out reasoning in the reasoning section based on this data, knowledge of a knowledge base, and an operation history, and outputting an operation signal of a readjusting device to the control device. CONSTITUTION:In an expert system section 2, a knowledge base storage section 3 and reasoning section 4 are included. The knowledge base stored in the storage section 3 is made up based on the knowledge of skilled operators, and it consists of a collection of rules which represent the state of operation and operation instruction in a form of conditions and conclusions. The reasoning section 4 carries out reasoning based on the operation data at present, knowledge base, etc., and the amount of operation of an adjusting device determines operation sequence after reaching a conclusion. For instance, in the operation of an incinerator 1, present data like amount of heavy oil supply, pressure in the incinerator, etc., are given to the reasoning section 4 through a controller 6 from each of detection devices. The reasoning section 4 carries out reasoning based on those knowledges and the operation history and outputs corresponding operation signal to the controller 6 and operates a heavy oil supply valve V1, an air valve V5, etc.
