PURPOSE:To improve shift feeling by switching a synchronous engagement type forward/backward switching portion by a hydraulic actuator. CONSTITUTION:A forward/backward switching portion 3 is operated by a detent plate 115, a switching portion 120 of a hydraulic actuator 116 and a hydraulic servo 130. In the forward range including a neutral range, the switching portion 3 is switched to the forward side by the hydraulic actuator 116, and in the backward range including a parking range, the switching portion 3 is switched to the backward side. Thus the operation of the switching portion 3 can be simplified to improve shift feeling.
