Device for height adjustment of the front stop or of the heelpiece of a ski binding, of the type with multi-directional releasing. The stop or the heelpiece comprises a stationary pivot and a rotary body carrying a retention jaw. The rotary body can pivot upwards in the event of the skier falling backwards. In this case, the ends of a stationary transverse piece describe ramps inclined so as to repel a spring, contained in a movable piston linked to the rotary body, forwards. According to the invention, the ramps are provided not in the jaw but in an intermediate piece in the form of a stirrup 28 so that, by means of a screw 24, height adjustment of the jaw 21 can be effected, without displacement of the stirrup and without modification to the adjustments of hardness upon releasing of the stop or of the heelpiece. <IMAGE>
