PURPOSE:To simply discriminate the existence of data destruction by storing the same code as a reference code held in a processor before or immediately after the generation of power failure in a volatile storage element as a check code. CONSTITUTION:A check code stored in a storage part 22 of an automatic operation mechanism 20 is indicated by a hexadecimal-notation of two digits consisting of 4 bits and the reference code to be a reference for the collation of the check code is previously written in a ROM 13. A microprocessor 11 reads out the reference code in the ROM 13 and the check code in the storage part 22 in accordance with a program, compares and collates them, and when both codes are different from each other, decides that all data in a clock mechanism 21 have been completely destructed, displays the decision and clears these data. Since whether the data in the clock mechanism 21 are destructed or not is discriminated in accordance with the existence of a change in the state of the stored check code at the time of restoration of power failure, data checking can be attained without checking all the data in the clock mechanism 21. |
