PURPOSE:To make multi-positioning possible by installing stopper rings provided with positioning grooves in a half of a cylinder, opening crank claw pass- windings in the cylinder, and mounting clamp cylinders on the outside of these windows. CONSTITUTION:The desired number of stopper rings 8 provided with positioning grooves 11 at the desired pitch are installed on one side of a piston rod 3 in a positioning cylinder 1. Crank claw pass-windows 18, 19 are opened on the upper and lower sides near the middle of the positioning cylinder 1, and clamp cylinder 6 having clamp claws 5 conforming to the positioning grooves 11 on their tips are mounted on both sides of the crank claw pass-windows 18, 19. Thus, multi-positioning can be performed with good accuracy without stepping motor, etc., and stop-position can be changed to any position only by changing the stopper rings 8.
