PURPOSE:To reduce the number of transmission ports in outdoor apparatus by a method wherein at indoor apparatus to which address setting is not made, conditions possible for signal transmission in signal transmission lines for all indoor apparatus except one apparatus are released and for the apparatus of which signal transmission condition is not released the signals for the address setting are transmitted. CONSTITUTION:After an initial setting is performed, address data and control data are transmitted to an indoor apparatus by a selective means 5 in the condition that all short circuiting switches 51, 52, 53, 54, 55 are opened. At the indoor apparatus it takes in the control data only when the address data coincide with self-address data and functions on the basis of the control data. The indoor apparatus transmits room temp. data etc. obtained with the self- address data to outdoor apparatus. Thereby, it is not necessary to perform the address setting operation at the side of the indoor apparatus 2 and as the address setting is carried out on the basis of the address setting data from the outdoor apparatus.
