PURPOSE:To enhance flexibility, cracking resistance and heat resistance, by providing a heat-resistant high molecular weight substance layer on one or both sides of a vapor-deposited metallic layer by vacuum deposition polymerization or plasma polymerization to produce a super beat resistant thermal transfer foil. CONSTITUTION:A protective resin layer 3 is provided on a base film 1, either directly or with a releasing agent layer 2 therebetween, and a heat-resistant high molecular weight substance layer, preferably, one 4 having a thickness of 50-1000nm obtained by vacuum deposition polymerization or plasma polymerization is provided thereon. Then, a vapor-deposited metallic layer 5 and a heat-resistant high molecular weight substance layer, preferably, one 4. having a thickness of 50-1000nm obtained by vacuum deposition polymerization or plasma polymerization are provided on the layer 4, and an adhesive layer 6 is provided thereon to obtain a super-heat-resistant thermal transfer foil. It is necessary to provide either one of the heat resistant high molecular weight substance layers 4 and 4'. |
