PURPOSE:To increase the electrode plate processing capability per formation tank and form an electrode plate having a good characteristic with a slight quantity of electricity by moving a group of electrode plates so that the electrode plates facing the counter electrodes are moved to the center and the electrode plates at the center are moved to face the counter electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A conductor B is electrically connected to an electrode plate lug A made of a lead alloy, and a moving plate C is used to lift the electrode plate lug A and move an electrode plate. First at the start of formation, the electrode plates at positions 1, 6 face the counter electrodes, and the electrode at positions 3, 4 are located at the center. During the formation, when the moving plate C is operated and the electrode plates at positions 4 though 6 are lifted and moved to the left then lowered, the electrode plates at positions 4 through 6 are moved from the right to the left of the electrode plates at positions 1 through 3 as shown by the lower figure. The electrode plates facing the counter electrodes were 1, 6 before the shift and are 3, 4 after the shift. On the other hand, the electrode plates located at the center were 3, 4 before the shift and are l, 6 after the shift. Accordingly, an almost equal quantity of electricity flows into each electrode plate over the whole formation. |
