PURPOSE:To automate a test without increasing the number of floppy disks (FDs) by inserting FD device cross call mechanism and writing much test program files in an FD medium. CONSTITUTION:When a 0-cylinder restoration command is outputted from a test device 10 to an FD 30, the FD cross call mechanism 20 sends an unusable state signal to an FD interface in a device 40 to be tested. Then the device 10 writes a leading file stored in a magnetic disk 13 in a working area of the FD 30 through an interface 11. At the end of the writing, the device 10 sends the 0-cylinder restoration command again. The mechanism 20 sends a usable signal to the interface 41. The device 10 sends the leading command to the device 40 through a tested device control interface 12 and the device 40 reads out the leading file from the FD 30 and executes it. Detecting the completion of the leading, the device 10 writes the test program file in a working medium in the FD 30. |
