PURPOSE:To simplify a change in stretching magnification by facilitating changeover of the gripping pitch of a stretching film, by providing a large number of pin holes for a multi-stage changeover on a chain link. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of pin holes I-IV are provided on the other end of chain links 8, 8' at predetermined intervals. When a pin 9 is inserted into the pin hole I of the chain links 8, 8', the pitch between the chain links 8, 8' after stretching of a film becomes twice as long as L (I). When the pin 9 is put into the pin hole II of the chain links 8, 8' in place of the pin hole I, the pitch between the chain links 8, 8' becomes twice as long as the L (II) similarly. The gripping pitch P(0) after the stretching of the film can be changed easily and stretching magnification in a longitudinal direction of the film can be changed simply and easily by putting the pin 9 into any of the pin holes I-IV in place of the other of them.
