The present addition relates to a device for the removable fixing of a hubcap to a vehicle wheel, as well as to an assembly obtained with the aid of this device. This device essentially comprises an elastically deformable and independent ring 3 including an outer annular lip 8 clipped into an annular step 4 in the wheel rim 5, and a flange 9 which is thicker than the lip 8 and includes a rib 13 onto which a hubcap 1 is clipped by means of U-shaped clips 7 one of whose elastic branches 7a includes a tab 14 retained by the rib 13. The device of the addition allows the removable fixing of hubcaps of any style and, for example, made of synthetic material, onto vehicle wheels also of any style. <IMAGE>
