Anti-cavitation and anti-erosion device for a flap valve, characterised in that the rod 6 for controlling the flap 5 of the valve passes through a succession of chambers 7, in the first of which the seat 4 opens out, the said chambers communicating with each other and the last one communicating with the outlet 3 of the valve, via orifices 8 traversed by the said rod which has, substantially in line with each of the said orifices, a cylindrical part 9 capable of shutting off the corresponding orifice, extending opposite the direction of flow of the fluid, via a frustoconical part 10 connected via its large base to the said cylindrical part. The rod 6 has, following each frustoconical part 10, a groove 11 capable, by an axial displacement of the said rod, of being brought substantially in line with the corresponding orifice 8. <IMAGE>
